The Atlanta Falcons have traded quarterback Desmond Ridder to the Arizona Cardinals in exchange for wide receiver Rondale Moore, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Thursday afternoon. Ridder, 24, will head to Arizona to back up Cardinals QB Kyler Murray.

Ridder started 13 games for Atlanta last season, passing for 12 touchdowns with 12 interceptions. The former third-round pick was benched multiple times by former Falcons head coach Arthur Smith.
Moore, 23, was drafted by the Cardinals in the second round of the 2021 NFL draft out of Purdue. Last season, Moore finished with 40 catches for 352 receiving yards and one touchdown.
