For the Arizona Cardinals, they have seen their vaccination rate for Covid-19 rise to 90%, but they also have three players on the Covid list.

Earlier last week the Cardinals placed undrafted rookie cornerback Lorenzo Burns on the Covid list, on Wednesday it was reported the team placed two more players in offensive lineman Shaq Calhoun and receiver Rico Gafford on the list.

There are some concerns obviously, spread being the main one, but with the vaccine in tow for many players the chances of catching it are less and if they do catch it, recovery time seems to be better.

While this seems callous, the good news is it was not a big time player and there doesn’t seem to be too much residual fallout.

The Cardinals need the players in the cornerback room and wide receiver room healthy, but maybe no room will be as important as the offensive line room, so let’s hope these are one-offs and nothing too dramatic.
