Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar has been released by the Detroit Lions. Dunbar is infamous for his short time in Seattle where he was arrested in an armed robbery case (charges later dropped) and then only played in six games due to injury.

The Seahawks acquired Dunbar from the Washington Football Team for a 5th round pick last offseason and was signed by the Lions this offseason. There is also the question to be asked: Should the Seahawks be interested in bringing Dunbar to camp?

The answer is an obvious no. Dunbar barely participated in Lions camp due to personal reasons and head coach Dan Campbell had this to say about him being cut,

“He’s communicating,” Campbell said. “We know where he’s at. We know what’s going on, and we’re thinking about him.”

Aside from whatever Dunbar is dealing with currently, it is also hard to imagine that the Seahawks would bring him back due to his performance last season. After a great 2019 with the WFT Dunbar had a 47.7 PFF rating and, again, only played in six games last year. Even though the Seahawks could use another corner, Dunbar is clearly not the guy.
