After working out wide receiver Dez Bryant in August of 2020, the Baltimore Ravens signed him just a few months later to help boost their offense as they looked for production from their receiver room. However, Bryant didn’t have the impact that many were expecting in a Baltimore uniform, only catching six passes for 47 yards and two touchdowns in six games with the team.

Bryant has yet to sign with an NFL organization for the 2021 season, but took to Twitter to share that he “has faith” that he’ll be on a roster soon, saying he’ll continue to grind.

The veteran also posted multiple videos of him working out, and on one clip he wrote a message about his character and hinted that there’s a deeper reason as to why he’s not on a team right now. (Note: NSFW)

Despite not making the impact with the Ravens that many had hoped, he wasn’t utilized nearly as much as many people expected, including himself. Bryant has made it clear that he enjoyed his time in Baltimore, but he’s looking for other opportunities that will let him contribute on the field more.

As training camps begin around the league and the preseason and regular season get underway, Bryant could generate a bit of interest, especially if injuries or an overall lack of production cause teams to re-evaluate their wide receiver rooms. After missing all of 2018 and 2019 with injuries and waiting for the right opportunity, the three-time Pro Bowler completed his comeback by suiting up and playing in a Ravens uniform.

While Bryant’s time in Baltimore is most likely over, his kind words towards the team show that he is appreciative of what the Ravens did for him. For Baltimore, the wide receiver was a veteran presence who helped guide some of the Ravens’ younger wideouts. Bryant deserves another chance in the NFL to prove what he’s got, and hopefully a team will give him that opportunity sooner rather than later.
