The Pittsburgh Steelers have been busy bringing in new players early in NFL free agency. The team has added several new starters and now they have re-signed a second key contributor. First, the Steelers re-signed safety and now they have brought back defensive linebacker Montravius Adams.

Adams was a key rotational player for the Steelers last season along the defensive line. Adams has started 17 games over the last two seasons for the Steelers and is entering his eighth season despite being only 28 years old. Adams played about 37 percent of the defensive snaps last season and started eight games.

‘Adams was one of two free-agent defensive linemen the Steelers had. Armon Watts signed a one-year, $3 million contract with the New England Patriots. With Cam Heyward coming back from an injury-riddled season, the Steelers need as many healthy bodies on the defensive line as possible.
