Last week’s recommendations and their DraftKings points:

• Van Jefferson: 2.40
• Adam Trautman: 0.00
• Javonte Williams: 8.40
• Mike Evans: 24.50

Last week was definitely a lineup to forget. Mike Evans was the only good call. Jefferson, Trautman, and Williams were all in bad or close games. The Broncos could not run away with the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars somehow. This limited Javonte William’s late game production. Adam Trautman was completely shut down by the injuries to the Saints and their lack of coaches. Van Jefferson was stopped in Indianapolis as the Colts found a way to play defense. These early-year lineups can be risky, as shown last week. In week three of the NFL regular season, the tide will begin to turn. These are the DraftKings plays for week three in the NFL.

If not now, then when? DraftKings Week Three DFS

Clyde Edwards-Helaire is coming off a disaster of a game. In week two, he fumbled near the end of the game, costing the Kansas City Chiefs the win. How he recovers from that loss and mistake might determine how the rest of his season is going to go. Andy Reid has not done any favors for Edwards-Helaire either. It is odd that Reid has not used Edwards-Helaire in the pass game as much. This week, the Chiefs face the Chargers in a divisional matchup which could very well be shoot-out. If Edwards-Helaire does not put it together this week, he might not all year. In DraftKings, he is only $4,800, which shows how much they think of his play lately. In tournament formats though, Edwards-Helaire is worth the gamble.

A.J. Brown is actually cheaper this week then he was last. Brown had a rough game in Seattle but could bounce back in week three. The issue could be facing a divisional rival Indianapolis Colts team. Brown and Julio Jones are actually priced the exact same this week at $6,500. The Colts defense showed good signs last week but they can still be attacked through the air. Pick whichever Titans receiver that brings the most comfort.

Odell Beckham Jr has not played this year and now Jarvis Landry has been placed on Injured Reserve by the Cleveland Browns. This leaves the Browns incredibly thin at receiver. Enter Donovan Peoples-Jones. Peoples-Jones has flashed at times for the Browns but will now need to fully step up to replace the production lost by injury to the other Browns receivers. If Peoples-Jones cannot put together a good fantasy finish this week, then it might not ever happen. This same logic can be applied to Rashard Higgins as well. Peoples-Jones is prices significantly lower at only $3,000 but Higgins at $4,200 might be worth the placement in some lineups.

One of the biggest names in fantasy tight ends is T.J. Hockenson for the Detroit Lions. Hockenson and the Lions have to play the surging Baltimore Ravens this week in what is likely to be one-sided. The Ravens have surrendered over 100 yards in back to back games to the tight end position. If Hockenson truly is among the elite of NFL tight ends, he will get his shot to prove it in a week where the Lions should have to throw most of the game. He should be in some of your lineups with the price tag being under the league average at $5,200.

Sample Lineup for Week Three

• Clyde Edwards-Helaire: $4,800
• A.J. Brown: $6,500
• Donovan Peoples-Jones: $3,000
• T.J. Hockenson: $5,200
• DST Raiders $3,400

Using this lineup leaves $27,100 to spend on the rest of the lineup. The Las Vegas Raiders defense will be worth a flyer this week as they face backup quarterback, Jacoby Brissett, at home. With the set plays and the amount of funds left, teams can easily pay up for several key positions. Kyler Murray has been on fire this season and could be worth the action. Other players worthy of the payout could be Tyler Lockett against the bad Minnesota Vikings secondary. Another target should Austin Ekeler, who will likely be in a shoot-out as the Chargers go to Kansas City.
