Betting on the Falcons this week?

Week 18 is here as the Atlanta Falcons will go on the road and face the New Orleans Saints. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. EST today, as the Falcons look to keep their incredibly slim playoff hopes alive. The Falcons need to win, and have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose to the Carolina Panthers.

There’s some interesting prop bets this week in this divisional matchup. Before making any decisions though, let’s look at some more numbers, graciously provided by our friends at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Falcons: +3 (-115)

I honestly don’t know how to predict the outcome of this matchup. Both teams have been terrible at times and good at times, with little consistency to speak of. Both have a lot on the line as they’re rivals and have a chance to make the playoffs, assuming of course that the Buccaneers lose. The Falcons won the first matchup in Week 12 so I’m inclined to go with them here, even on the road.

Taylor Heinicke: Over 0.5 passing touchdowns (-220)

I don’t have a lot of faith in Taylor Heinicke, but I like to think he’s capable of throwing one touchdown on Sunday. In his only five games where he hit the field this season, he has exactly one passing touchdown in all of them. Seems like easy money to me.

Taylor Heinicke: Under 195.5 passing yards (-115)

Taking the under here for Heinicke. He’s been a little banged up during the week, so there’s no guarantee that he finishes the game. 196 yards is a lot to throw for given the state of this year’s passing attack, so I’m taking the under.

Bijan Robinson: Over 21.5 receiving yards (-115)

If the Falcons want to win this one, they need to utilize Bijan Robinson. Against the Saints previously, Bijan finished with 32 receiving yards. I’m going to wager that he does it again in Week 18 and clears this one easily.

Drake London: Under 43.5 receiving yards (+100)

Going with the under here. Look, once the Falcons have a good quarterback, Drake London will be regarded as one of the better receivers in the league. For now though through no fault of his own, the production just isn’t there. London has only had 5+ receptions in one of the last five games. The yardage has been less than stellar, so I’m take the under.

Falcons fans, what Falcons-Saints bets have you put down at DraftKings Sportsbook this week? Do you agree or disagree with my picks? Let us know in the comments!
