Head coach Nick Sirianni has emphasized connection from Day 1, and the team is taking it to heart.

Since the day Nick Sirianni was hired by the Eagles, he stressed the importance of connection. It is one of his core values, and something the team has been built around thanks to some great buy-in from GM Howie Roseman and the Philly front office.

The Eagles have one of those locker rooms that guys want to join, a culture that players want to be apart of, and it all starts with connection. If you look at just 2023, you see the importance the team places on that core value, along with the pride that comes with playing for your home town.

Brought in WR D’Andre Swift, a Philly native and Georgia alumnus. Brought in WR Olamide Zaccheaus, a Philly native and Swift’s former high school teammate. Brought in QB Marcus Mariota who played with Zaccheaus in Atlanta. Brought in WR Julio Jones who played with both Zaccheaus (Bucs) and A.J. Brown (Titans). And most recently, the Eagles traded for All Pro safety Kevin Byard who grew up in Philly and played with both Julio Jones and A.J. Brown in Tennessee.

It would be tough to find a guy that has been added to the team’s roster this past year that doesn’t have an existing relationship with either the city or at least one other teammate or coach. Having that familiarity helps guys learn a new system faster, buy in from the jump, and play with an extra level of determination.

Sirianni has emphasized connection every day since moving to Philly, and we’re seeing the results every week when the Eagles take the field.
