Official: Eagles sign 15 players to their practice squad

The Eagles seemingly tried to hide his ability by having him play at multiple offensive line positions this summer as opposed to keeping him at one spot. Could be a future starter or a key backup.</li> <li id="ISLX41">Clark reportedly had other suitors, so the Eagles are likely paying him more than the minimum to stay on their practice squad. His presence gives the Eagles a competent backup tackle who boasts game experience.</li> <li id="Fu2ixC">For those upset that the Eagles waived Fulgham, well, he’s back on the practice squad. Interesting to see that no other teams were dying to get him. He might get another shot to be on the Eagles’ roster if they are impacted by injuries down the road.</li> <li id="iQ6n7W">Hightower is likely thought of as a developmental player, though he already turned 25 in May.</li> <li id="uc84rt">Howard is a candidate to be elevated from the practice squad to the roster for game day if the Eagles want his physical running style and/or pass blocking around. RB depth.</li> <li id="QOZdwV">Huntley is another candidate to be elevated at some point considering he’s likely the team’s best kick returner. Developmental RB.</li> <li id="s3LmhP">Jacquet offers depth at corner, though it’s certainly not ideal if he ever has to actually play. Much better to never have to break glass on this emergency option.</li> <li id="g1kw9l">James has dealt with injuries this summer and last year but, when healthy, he’s showed special teams chops. More CB depth.</li> <li id="NzZvHj">Opeta gives the Eagles more guard depth.</li> <li id="K8rWs5">Pierschbacher gives the Eagles more center depth.</li> <li id="Jhfewt">Riley is yet another candidate to be elevated to the game day roster at some point. Perhaps even early in the season with Rodney McLeod and K’Von Wallace not currently at 100%. Riley can help on special teams in addition to providing safety depth.</li> <li id="RArYds">Stevens is a work in progress as he transitions from safety to linebacker.</li> <li id="zRY2mq">Williams gives the Eagles more interior DL depth.</li> <li id="GOHbqN">Speaking of interior DL depth, the Eagles are reportedly (but not yet officially) signing 2021 UDFA Marvin Wilson to their practice squad. Wilson received a large guarantee from the Cleveland Browns and was a five-star high school recruit. There was thought he could be a really good prospect but it ultimately just didn’t work out that way for him. Definitely a guy worth spending a practice squad on. Theoretical upside. </li> <li id="QLc1dq">The Eagles have one more opening to fill out after they officially sign Wilson. </li> <li id="IqsG7p">Reminder that last year’s practice squad rules are still in effect for this year. This meaning the Eagles can protect up to four players from being poached ahead of each game week. They can also elevate two practice squad players to the 53-man roster ahead of game day and they can return to the practice squad without going through waivers (up to two times).</li> </ul> <p id="DvwNJy"></p> </div>
