Week 4 game status updates.

The Philadelphia Eagles issued their third and final official injury report on Friday in advance of their Week 4 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

One player was ruled OUT: Jordan Mailata.

The Eagles’ starting left tackle missed the entirety of practice this week as he heals from the knee injury he suffered leading up to the Dallas Cowboys game. Mailata was reportedly given a two-to-four week recovery timeline, so he might miss another game or two.

Andre Dillard will start in Mailata’s place in the meantime. The 2019 first-round pick took advantage of an unusually favorable matchup last week. He might be getting another good draw this week with the Chiefs having one of the league’s least effective pass rushing units. Let’s see if Dillard can stack some good games. (And then maybe the Eagles can trade him at a time when his value might never be higher?)

Eagles starting safety Rodney McLeod fully participated in practice all week so he’ll be making his season debut on Sunday. McLeod hasn’t suited up since suffering an ACL injury last December. It remains to be seen how large his role will be in his first action back. Still, his return comes at a convenient time with the Eagles losing K’Von Wallace to injured reserve.

Landon Dickerson, Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, Marcus Epps, and Davion Taylor will all play after appearing on the injury report this week. Taylor will be playing for the first time since re-aggravating his calf injury in Week 2. Could be a boost for the linebacker corps and/or special teams unit.

It’s not perfectly clear who will start for the Eagles at guard this week with Isaac Seumalo going on IR. Nate Herbig replaced Seumalo in the Dallas game but the equation could change with Jack Driscoll eligible to be activated.

Backup nickel cornerback Josiah Scott is also eligible to be return from IR. The Eagles have until 4:00 PM Eastern on Saturday to activate Driscoll and/or Scott.

KANSAS CITY CHIEFS INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)

Chiefs backup cornerback Rashad Fenton is out.

Chiefs starting defensive end Frank Clark and starting cornerback Charvarius Ward are both questionable to play after being limited in practice all week. KC’s defense is pretty bad (most points allowed in the NFL) so it’s not great for the Chiefs if they can’t go. The Eagles’ offense doesn’t have a good excuse to not score a bunch of points on Sunday.
