Some of ESPN’s lead NFL experts — Jeremy Fowler, Louis Riddick, Seth Walder, and Field Yates — created an article titled, “NFL Future Power Rankings 2021: Projections for all 32 teams for the next three seasons.” While they don’t actually project future power rankings for each of the next three seasons, they do rate each team’s quarterback, roster (Other than QB), coaching, drafting ability, and front office, in terms of how they project for the next three seasons.

The Seattle Seahawks came in at a somewhat surprising 10th place on the power rankings.

The Seahawks were ranked 13th in the NFL for overall roster, 4th for quarterback, 12th for coaching, 25th for drafting, and 17th for front office. The “Overall roster minus QB” clearly surprised some people along with coaching for the top half of the league ranking. The only positive mention about Seattle’s coaching came from Field Yates who said something you commonly read from someone commenting on Twitter, “The Seahawks win as long as QB Russell Wilson and coach Pete Carroll are around.” As for the roster, Jeremy Fowler said, “Seattle won 12 games last year in part because of talent development, and it has good young options all over.”

I personally find the draft and front office ranking to be slightly unfair to a team who, yes, hasn’t had the same draft success as they did in 2010-2012, but has also kept this roster afloat with an offense that is comprised of second, third, and even seventh-round talent.

For those curious about the NFC West, the 49ers ranked 6th, Rams 7th, and the Cardinals 22nd.
