The Tannehill disrespect continues.

Ryan Tannehill doesn’t always get the love he deserves outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Tannehill is coming off an excellent season which saw him throw for 33 touchdowns and 3,819 passing yards. He will go down as one of the best quarterbacks in Titans history.

The longer Tannehill can sustain this elite level of play, the better his reputation outside of the local market becomes. The Titans possess a great offense with several excellent players. The addition of Julio Jones and continued top notch play of Derrick Henry and A.J. Brown should propel Tannehill to another big season in 2021.

With all that said, there’s a major outlet that decided to snub Tannehill. ESPN is currently releasing their top 10 players at every position. In ESPN’s defence, they surveyed more than 50 league executives, coaches, scouts and players to help them create the list.

Tannehill is a notable exclusion. The list is made up of Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Russell Wilson, Josh Allen, Matthew Stafford, Dak Prescott, Lamar Jackson, Justin Herbert and Kyler Murray.

Tannehill did receive some votes, but it wasn’t enough to crack the list. This is what one NFL coordinator had to say about Tannehill:

“He’s solid — not elite, but incredibly efficient. You can win big with that, with the right supporting cast.”

Sigh. I don’t quite understand how Murray and Stafford make this list before Tannehill does. What do you think? Was Tannehill snubbed or is this a fair assessment? Leave your thoughts in the comment section.
