Former Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Donte Moncrief announced his retirement from the NFL on Saturday, and he expressed some immense gratitude toward the team that drafted him.

A third-round pick in the 2014 NFL draft out of Ole Miss, Moncrief spent four seasons with the Colts to begin his career. In his retirement post on Instagram, he thanked the Colts and the Irsay family for getting his career started.

After his rookie contract expired with the Colts, Moncrief also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2018), Carolina Panthers (2019), Pittsburgh Steelers (2019) and New England Patriots (2020).

He signed a one-year deal with the Houston Texans during the 2021 offseason but was released before the start of training camp.

Moncrief has not seen action in a regular-season game since the 2020 campaign.
