Former Jets and Falcons QB Michael Vick is coming out of retirement to play in a startup league.

Vick will participate in Fan Controlled Football, according to Reuters. The 41-year-old will make his debut on May 28, the final day of the league’s regular season. Vick has not been assigned a team yet, but all FCF games are played in Atlanta.

Vick has not played in the NFL since 2015. The dual-threat was a superstar with the Falcons from 2001-2006, but Vick’s involvement in a dogfighting ring cost him nearly two years in prison and disrupted the prime of his career.

Vick returned to the NFL in 2009 with the Eagles. He remained in Philadelphia through the 2013 season. Vick signed with the Jets after that, appearing in 10 games in 2014. Vick made three starts for Gang Green before finishing his career in Pittsburgh in 2015.

FCF is played seven-on-seven on a 50-yard, indoor field. The biggest difference, however, is that fans call the plays. Other recognizable names have participated, including Terrell Owens and Johnny Manziel.

Owens, a close friend, inspired Vick to play, per Reuters.
