Bryan Cox, a former Jets linebacker and staffer, will coach with the Giants in 2022.

Cox was added to Brian Daboll’s staff earlier this week. He will be Big Blue’s assistant defensive line coach.

Cox held the same title with the Jets from 2006–2008 while serving under Eric Mangini. That was Cox’s first NFL coaching gig after a 12-year playing career with the Dolphins, Bears, Jets, Patriots and Saints. Cox played for Gang Green from 1998-2000 and wracked up 135 tackles, 14 TFL and 12 sacks.

He won Super Bowl XXXVI with New England.

Cox’s coaching career took him to Cleveland when Mangini became the Browns’ head coach. Cox also has experience coaching the Dolphins, Bucs and Falcons.
