Steelers’ LB Vince Williams retires from the NFL

One day into training camp and Vince Williams said: Nope.

Per Ray Fittipaldo of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the longtime Steelers linebacker is retiring from the NFL.

Williams, who was released and re-signed in a one-month period, spent his entire eight-year career with Pittsburgh. During that span, he contributed 479 tackles (50 for loss), 20.5 sacks and 45 quarterback hits. Williams also registered two interceptions, one for a touchdown.
