It’s Friday, which means you need to avoid actual work and rejoice with some linkage.

Here we go again, again, and again

NFL draft season never truly ends. It is everlasting. It’s a Sisyphus of guesswork, creative prediction of how a schedule shakes out, and big, big, opinions on the top guard prospect heading to the pros in five years. It is an ouroboros of football coverage.

With that: Bleacher Report dropped its far-too-early 2022 mock draft, and it has Atlanta taking a quarterback. Let’s discuss this ad infinitum and argue and lose friends over it.

OG Josh Andrews: Favorite?

New addition to the offensive line, Josh Andrews, continues to be rumored as the favorite to land the left guard spot in Atlanta.

Training camp previews

In things relevant to now: We’ve got two weeks until Atlanta Falcons training camp gets underway! For a team in transition, this will be a critical period of time — circle it on your calendar in Sharpie.

In advance of what will prove to be a pivotal camp, our Kevin Knight is rolling out his positional previews prior to the start of camp. His first two entries involve two of the most important positions on offense:

Quarterback

Running back

Is now the time?

It’s not news that the Falcons are lacking a true pass-rusher. With DC Dean Pees at the helm, Atlanta is going to rely heavily on the scheme and blitzing to get to the quarterback. There are still some veteran defensive free agents out there, and now could be the time that the team chooses to bolster its pass rush.

Over/Under: Kyle Pitts #Content

So how many touchdowns does tight end Kyle Pitts tally in his rookie campaign? He’s the highest-drafted tight end of all time, and that comes with clear expectations — So does Pitts record more than eight touchdowns in 2021?

Schedule predictions: Week 4

The Falcons take on the Washington Football Team at home in Week 4 of the upcoming season. How does our team of writers think they fare?

Atlanta Jersey History: Nos. 31 – 35

We make our way midway through the 30’s in our Will McFadden’s journey through the best athletes in Atlanta history to sport a particular number. Falcons running backs and Braves pitchers dominate this one.

Arthur Blank honored

On Monday, ESPN held the seventh annual Sports Humanitarian Awards, and Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank was the recipient of the 2021 Sports Philanthropist of the Year Award.
