It’s Monday in the Falcons doldrums, but the links arrive nonetheless. Read on for Falcoholinks to start your week.

Over/Under: Calvin Ridley

Calvin Ridley enters the 2021 NFL season as Atlanta’s No. 1 wide receiver after the departure of Julio Jones. Ridley amassed 1,374 receiving yards last year, so it’s a role that he appears ready to fulfill — but if you’re dropping money on it: would you take the over or under on Calvin Ridley tallying 1,530 yards in 2021?

New head coach, historically mixed results

Arthur Smith enters the 2021 NFL season as the Atlanta Falcons’ third new head coach since 2008 when Mike Smith was hired. He touts an impressive resume with what he was able to accomplish in Tennessee as its OC, but the Falcons have historically experienced mixed results in a new coach’s first season.

Forgotten Falcons: Mick Luckhurst

Mick Luckhurst was one of the first English-born NFL players, and also the Falcons’ leading scorer for over a decade. He also scored a playoff touchdown on a fake — but alas, he’s our entry in this week’s Forgotten Falcons series.
