The Atlanta Falcons have now retained three coaches from Arthur Smith’s staff. T.J. Yates, who served as the wide receivers coach in 2023, will take over as the quarterbacks coach on Raheem Morris‘ staff, NFL Network’s James Palmer reported on Monday afternoon.

Former Falcons offensive coordinator Dave Ragone served as the QBs coach last season, but the team is expected to hire Rams pass-game coordinator Zac Robinson as the offensive coordinator. Now Yates will take over for Ragone.

Yates is a former NFL quarterback who spent one season as a member of the Falcons in 2014. The former fifth-round pick appeared in 22 games over seven NFL seasons, making 10 starts.

The Falcons are also expected to keep running backs coach Michael Pitre and special teams coordinator Marquice Williams, according to multiple reports.
