The book is an intriguing look back at bringing professional sports to Atlanta and the impact it has had.

Disclosure: I am not being compensated in any way, shape or form for discussing this book. When Clayton Trutor reached out to me, the topic was something that genuinely interested me and it was one I felt our readers and listeners would also enjoy.

I love history. Especially recent history. The kind of history whose reverberations can still be felt today. That’s why I felt uniquely interested in the book “Loserville: How Professional Sports Remade Atlanta – and How Atlanta Remade Professional Sports.” The title is inflammatory but it also has a historical backdrop.

Clayton and I got together on this special podcast to talk about the book and what he found when he researched it. It was a fascinating conversation about the history of professional sports in Atlanta and how it has had a lasting impact – not only in Georgia, but in all of sports.

If you’re a fan of multiple Atlanta teams and love learning about the history of the Braves, the Rankin Smith days of the Falcons and more, this podcast is a teaser of what the book has to offer. It will be released in early 2022 and you can find out more about the book and Clayton Trutor here.
