Moore has two career receptions for 15 yards in the NFL.

The Falcons’ wide receiver room got a little more crowded on Friday, as the team signed J’Mon Moore to enhance what already promised to be a spirited competition at the position behind Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage.

Moore was a former fourth round pick by the Green Bay Packers in the 2018 NFL Draft.

This will be Moore’s fourth team in as many seasons in the NFL, as he spent last season on Houston’s practice squad and the year before that on Cleveland’s practice squad.

Moore doesn’t have too much in-game experience in the NFL, tallying two career receptions for 15 receiving yards along with four kick returns for 102 yards, all with the Packers in his rookie season.

He did have a standout career in the SEC at the college level, however, totaling back to back 1,000-yard receiving seasons in his junior and senior seasons at Missouri, along with 18 combined touchdowns, and over 16.0 yards per reception in those two years.

Moore’s measurables are solid at 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, and the Falcons seem fixated on adding size to the receiver room this offseason. He’s a plus blocker at wide receiver and was always dangerous after the catch in college. If he can show those skills in Atlanta, he might just hang around.

J’Mon Moore will have his opportunity in what looks to be a wide open receiver competition beyond Ridley and Gage, matching up against the likes of Frank Darby, Christian Blake, Olamide Zaccheaus, Tajae Sharpe and others. It ought to be one of the more interesting competitions in camp this year.
