The Atlanta Falcons are working through their final cuts ahead of Tuesday’s deadline, but don’t expect the initial 53-man roster to stay the same for very long.
According to a report from NFL Network’s Cameron Wolfe, free-agent cornerback Malcolm Butler is flying to Atlanta this afternoon for a scheduled workout on Wednesday.
Former Pro Bowl CB Malcolm Butler is flying to Atlanta this afternoon & will try out for Falcons tomorrow, source confirms.

Butler, 33, is best known for his Super Bowl-clinching interception of former Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, however, he hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since 2020.
The veteran defender last played for the Tennessee Titans in 2020, starting all 16 games and grabbing four interceptions. Head coach Arthur Smith was still serving as offensive coordinator in Tennessee when Butler was there.
Regardless of whether he makes the Falcons roster or not, Butler will always be known for this incredible play.
