Fans are fickle, and our weekly confidence poll goes up and down based on the results of the most recent game

New York Giants head coach Joe Judge talks all the time about players and coaches not riding a rollercoaster of emotions from day to day or week to week. The idea being to plow forward and continue trying to get better regardless of results, good or bad.

Fans, though, are different. They are on that rollercoaster from week to week, day to day, play to play. Those emotions are reflected each week in the ‘SB Nation Reacts’ fan confidence poll.

After back-to-back lopsided losses to the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams, only 11 percent of Giants’ fans voting in our weekly poll expressed confident in the team. After Sunday’s victory over the Carolina Panthers, though, 42 percent of voters are suddenly confident in the Giants.

Interestingly, and predictably after a 27-3 loss to the Tennessee Titans, only 23 percent of Kansas City Chiefs’ fans are showing confident in their team.

The 3-4 Chiefs are 9.5-point favorites over the 2-5 Giants on Monday night at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, per DraftKings Sportsbook.

Here are this week’s national game-by-game picks from ‘SB Nation Reacts’ voters. Poll participants are 0-1 thus far in Week 8 after the Green Bay Packers defeated the Arizona Cardinals, 24-21, Thursday night.
