The math is adding up for a Steelers post season run!

Time for another meeting of the black and gold minds.

Good evening BTSC Family! It’s Friday- TGIF for me, even though I’m on call. I’ve got a six pack of questions below, As always, let us know what on the menu for tonight, as well as what BEvERage is wetting your lips.

Here we go:

1-The Steelers put up 421 yards of offense (Most since 2018, and first 400+ game since early 2020). It was addition by subtraction with Matt Canada being fired (many of us derived some pleasure from that) and the offense showed up by adding the middle of the field and Pat Freiermuth, who led the NFL in receiving yards for the week with 120 on 9 catches. The downside was only 16 pts.
What do you think the Steelers do on Sunday: over/under 350 yards and over/under 20 pts?

2- In the minds of many, Diontae Johnson has exponetially surpased George Pickens for the most diva WR on the steelers, with a reported argument with Minkah and the Bengals tape showing he gave up on Warren’s fumble which doesn’t add up to looking very mature.
Using some “recent” Steelers WR below, rank how much drama you expect from DJ the rest of the season:
***MOST DRAMA***
5- Antonio Brown
4- Plexico Burress
3- Santonio Homes
2- Limas Sweed
1- Hines Wards
***LEAST DRAMA***

3- TJ Watt notched another 2 sacks for the season, bringing his 2023 total to 13.5. Tomlin called him the best defensive player on the planet, but I’d probably estimate it best player within 100,000 light years. There’s only 5 games left, and TJ would need to 9.5 more sacks (1.9 sacks per game) to break the single season record he shares with Michael Strahan.
Do you think TJ gets to 23 sacks in 2023 ? If not, give us you best guess where he finishes.

4. Losing to Arizona would be a Cardinal sin, but they are up next and Steelers are favored by 5.5 pts (DK). In the last meeting, special teams helped Duck Hodges-led Steelers win, with DJ getting an 85 YD punt return TD (the most recent one for the Steelers.
Do you think our special teams plays well? If so, we do you think projects to be the ST x-factor?

5. The Browns are starting Joe Flacco this Sunday, with injuries to Watson, DTR, and apparently no confidence in PJ Walker.
What retired player from ratbirds, bungles, or stains do you think could still function the Steelers if they un-retired and signed with the Black and Gold ?

6. It’s that time of year people start decorating for the Holidays. Have you decorated already for Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanza? Are you a few decorations type or more Clark Griswold? If you don’t celebrate the holidays, is there anything about this season you do enjoy anyway?
Here’s my special egg nog recipe:
Fill cup with Bourbon
Add ice (optional)
Viola!
