Friday Open Thread: July 2, 2021

Happy Friday, everyone!

For those of us poor souls who have to work today, I hope the day goes by quickly. Anyone have any plans for the Fourth? I have a metric a** load of fireworks, and I can’t light them off due to dry conditions. I could drive over to Fargo, but then I’d have to light them off in some stranger’s yard, and I’m guesing that would cause issues. I might just save them all for New Year’s Eve, if I have to. Le sigh

Other Vikings/NFL news and random oddities and annoyances:

From NFL.com, the NFL fined the Team With No Name $10 million for….something. They also fined the Jaguars, Cowboys, and 49ers for OTA violations. Hey, did they ever fine Robert Kraft for that time when he solicited a prostitute? Just wondering. They had it on tape and all.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Take the gender hatred elsewhere, it won’t be tolerated
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)|
-If discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags|
-No pictures that could get someone fired or in serious trouble with their employer
-If you can’t disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it’s sarcasm.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on, don’t forget to tip the cows, and settle in, the fireworks show should start soon.
