The Carolina Panthers definitely need something different on the field, especially for their offense. And there’s a pretty different player offering them a pretty different element over from the scouting combine.

Wideout Keon Coleman was asked about the Panthers during his media availability in Indianapolis on Friday. He stated that he has met with the team, in what he described as a “nice interview,” and spoke about what he could potentially do for quarterback Bryce Young.

“I’ll give him a very reliable target,” he said. “He has Adam Thielen, but I feel like I’ll bring a different dynamic to that offense.”

He was then asked exactly what that dynamic would be.

“Touchdowns,” he replied. “That’s all I gotta do. And consistency with hands.”

Well, that would certainly be something quite different in Charlotte.

The Panthers averaged the fewest amount of yards per game this past season (265.3). So, it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that their offense also recorded the second-fewest touchdowns (23).

Coleman, on the other hand, was well acquainted with the end zone, as 11 of his 50 receptions in 2023 accounted as touchdowns. He finished his final collegiate campaign with a first-team All-ACC selection.

The electric 6-foot-3, 213-pound pass catcher is currently projected to go anywhere from the middle of the first round to the early portions of the second.
