Giants left off list of top 10 most improved teams

Why?
The New York Giants added play-making capability, receiving and running back depth, a quality cornerback and a number of edge rushing options this offseason. Yet, CBS Sports does not list the Giants among the NFL’s 10 most-improved teams heading into 2021.
Here is the top 10:
- Cleveland Browns
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Los Angeles Chargers
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Washington Football Team
- Minnesota Vikings
- Los Angeles Rams
- Buffalo Bills
- Tennessee Titans
- Indianapolis Colts
CBS did rank the Giants as an honorable mention, writing:
New York Giants: GM Dave Gettleman actually delivered on his promise to give QB Daniel Jones more play-makers (WR Kenny Golladay was a smart, if expensive, gamble), and his draft-day maneuvering was solid as well. But Jones is still set to start behind an iffy offensive line in a crucial year three. You also can’t rely too much on the health of additions like Kadarius Toney or Adoree’ Jackson.
Valentine’s View
I get that the Giants did not accomplish everything they might have wanted to. They did a lot, however, and I find it hard to believe that 10 NFL teams improved more than New York did.
For what it’s worth, how did the Buccaneers get better just by getting all their guys to come back? I am also not sure I understand why there is more love for what Washington did than what the Giants did.
