Round 2, Pick 37: LSU QB Jayden Daniels

The current Heisman front-runner has already accepted his invite to the Senior Bowl in a few months and has been lighting up the scoreboard since his transfer to LSU from Arizona State. Daniels doesn’t possess an elite arm, but he has enough arm to make any throw that an NFL team would ask from him.

2024 NFL Draft: Week 13 Buzz and Best Prospect Fits for League’s Worst Teams | Bleacher Report

The Giants are mocked to Florida State’s Keon Coleman, who has been slowed as of late because of the Seminoles’ quarterback situation, with Jordan Travis suffering a season-ending injury. But his status as a top-shelf wide receiver prospect remains unchanged. According to Pro Football Focus, the 6’4” prospect has yet to drop a pass this season despite being targeted 80 times.

Coleman is a big, reliable and dynamic target to serve as the Giants’ WR1.

NFL Team Needs Tracker: One upcoming free agent, one 2024 NFL Draft prospect for all 32 teams after Week 12 | PFF

Prospect: Illinois DI Jer’Zhan Newton

Newton was downright dominant in 2022, earning a 91.2 run-defense grade and an 84.1 pass-rush grade with 34 defensive stops and 55 quarterback pressures. Newton has 44 quarterback pressures and a 15.2% pass-rush win rate in 2023, and while there may be size concerns at the next level, no team is better equipped to make that work than the New York Giants with defensive force Dexter Lawrence at nose tackle wreaking havoc up the middle.

Giants still would be in playoff hunt without few costly gaffes | New York Post

There have been some lopsided results, which have angered Giants fans, and understandably so. But when you take a deeper dive into the past two seasons and look at the Giants losses, you’ll find that, for the most part, they’ve struggled against good teams.

Of the 16 games they have lost under the watch of Daboll and Schoen, nine of them have come against the Eagles, Cowboys and Seahawks — all 2022 playoff teams.

Jalin Hyatt (92.0 PFF Grade) recorded his first career 100-yard game, with 70 of his yards coming on deep passes. Hyatt made a 29-yard catch on the third play of the game and a 22-yard grab later in the quarter. He also had a 41-yard reception later in the game. Hyatt now has seven explosive gains this season, with four coming in the past four weeks. He averaged 4.74 yards per route run against New England and finished as the week’s highest-graded receiver.

Giants legend: I played with a selfish QB who prioritized his stats | NJ.com

“I have played with a quarterback who wouldn’t throw Hail Marys at the end of a half because he was concerned about his overall quarterback rating — If the Hail Mary would be would be intercepted,” Amani Toomer said. “I’m not going to say any names, I’m just going to say he’s in the Hall of Fame right now.”

Toomer played alongside 10 quarterbacks in his 13-year career with the Giants. Only one is in the Hall of Fame: Kurt Warner.
