Giants news, 6/18: MetLife protocols updated
2 min readNew York Giants headlines for Friday
Good morning, New York Giants fans!
Full capacity, no face coverings at MetLife Stadium
MetLife Stadium will be, or at least can be, full for Giants games this fall. No face coverings, vaccination cards, or negative COVID-19 tests will be required.
A statement from the Giants:
“As permitted by current New Jersey policies on businesses and gatherings, MetLife Stadium will open at full capacity this NFL season without requiring face coverings, proof of vaccination, or proof of a negative COVID test. In addition, to reduce touchpoints, MetLife Stadium will operate cash free at all concession stands and retail operations. Reverse ATM machines will be available to convert cash to debit cards. Tailgating will also be permitted. We will continue to share additional gameday protocols as the NFL season approaches.”

I’m not buying the argument made here that because Peterson had a similar injury and came back successfully he would be a good fit for the Giants. Barkley doesn’t need a mentor. If the Giants believe Peterson at this point in his career is better than Ryquell Armstead, Corey Clement and Gary Brightwell, fine. If he isn’t, he should not be signed.
