Giants have signed 14 players to futures deals

The New York Giants announced on Thursday that wide receiver David Sills and defensive back Terrell Burgess are returning to the team on reserve/futures contracts.

Sills, 26, is a favorite of quarterback Daniel Jones. He began the season as a starter and caught 11 passes in nine games.

Sills played only one snap after Week 8, though. He was waived in late October and re-signed to the practice squad. Sills has 13 receptions in 13 career games.

Burgess, 24, was a third-round pick by the Los Angeles Rams in 2020. He was waived by the Rams in early November and signed to the Giants’ practice squad. He was elevated to the active roster for one game, playing five special teams snaps Week 12 against the Dallas Cowboys.

Here are all the players signed to reserve/futures contracts:

  • DT Vernon Butler
  • DB Terrell Burgess
  • RB Jashaun Corbin
  • OT Korey Cunningham
  • DB Zyon Gilbert
  • OT Devery Hamilton
  • OL Solomon Kindley
  • WR Jaydon Mickens
  • WR Dre Miller
  • TE Chris Myarick
  • WR Kalil Pimpleton
  • WR Makai Polk
  • WR David Sills
  • DB Trenton Thompson

The notable name missing from the list is quarterback Davis Webb, who is said to be mulling the idea of retiring to become a coach.
