We’ll have an idea about Richard Sherman’s case later this morning. Hopefully, he gets the help that he needs.

Judge orders NFL’s Richard Sherman released without bail

King County District Court Judge Fa’amomoi Masaniai found probable cause that Sherman committed criminal trespassing, malicious mischief, driving under the influence and resisting arrest. Prosecutors did not ask the judge for a finding on a felony residential burglary allegation for which he was initially booked. They have not yet filed charges.

Masaniai declined to set $10,000 bail as prosecutors requested. The judge called Sherman, who did not attend the hearing, a “pillar of the community” and noted that it was presumed he would be released because this was his first arrest. He ordered that Sherman not have contact with his father-in-law and that he not use alcohol or nonprescription drugs.

“I love and support my husband,” Sherman’s wife, Ashley Sherman, said in a statement after the hearing. “I am committed to helping Richard get the support and care that he needs. Richard has always been a loving father and husband. And we are looking forward to seeing him at home with his family.”

‘He’s the toughest on the list’: 49ers’ George Kittle tops ESPN’s ranking of tight ends

“The objective is to identify the best players right now for 2021,” wrote Fowler. “This is not a five-year projection or an achievement award. Who’s the best today? Pretty simple.”

“Kittle was still on pace for 96 catches and 1,300 yards over 16 games,” wrote Fowler. “He created separation on his routes (3.78 yards away from nearest defender at time of pass arrival) and posted 296 yards after catch.”

“Kittle once again outdistanced Travis Kelce in a tight race for the top spot,” wrote Fowler. “Despite missing eight games with a nagging foot injury, Kittle’s impact was felt leaguewide. The 49ers fell from fourth to 15th in total offense without Kittle and his quarterback, Jimmy Garoppolo, for much of the year.”

John Lynch: 49ers will provide support to Richard Sherman and his wife

Although Richard Sherman no longer plays for the 49ers, General Manager John Lynch has reached out to Sherman and his wife after the events of the last 48 hours, which saw Sherman arrested for trying to break into his wife’s parents’ home, and Ashley Sherman call 911 to report that Richard Sherman was suicidal.

Lynch told reporters today that he is concerned about both Richard and Ashley and has reached out to the family to let them know that the 49ers can provide resources to them.

“They’re good people,” Lynch said of Richard and Ashley. “Just praying that they find their way through this and we’ll support them any way we can.”

ESPN identifies two irreplaceable players on the 49ers roster

“Rookie first-round pick Trey Lance might be able to step in for Garoppolo at quarterback, but there’s nobody on the roster who can fill in for Kittle or Bosa,” wrote Barnwell. “Injuries aren’t totally random — some players are more susceptible to injury than others — but the Niners can’t really control whether a player like Bosa stays healthy in a given season.”
