The Chicago Bears are enjoying some extended time off after snagging their first NFC North win this year after taking down the Minnesota Vikings in prime time last week.

The victory included a dominant performance by the defense, rattling Vikings quarterback Josh Dobbs and forcing him to throw four interceptions. The offense struggles were exemplified with Justin Fields’ two late game fumbles, but the third-year QB made his best throw of the game to put the Bears well within range for a Cairo Santos game-winning field goal. The win filled with highs and lows gives Chicago a lot to think about during the bye week, and it also gives us at Bears Wire some extended time to reflect on the season.

Now is the perfect time to ponder the last 12 weeks and put all of the sorrow and joy the season had wrought into one giant good, bad and ugly list. The piece will dissect every aspect of the Bears’ 2023 season (so far) and place them in one of these three categories. With incredible highs, crushing lows, and everything in between in mind, let’s go over the good, bad and ugly of Chicago’s season through Week 12.
