Grading every Bears free agent signing of 2024

NFL free agency got underway less than two weeks ago, but most of the big-ticket players available have already been snatched up by teams looking to make roster improvements. The same can be said for the Chicago Bears, who have made a number of moves in hopes of retooling their roster ahead of the 2024 season. 

The Bears made a couple of splash moves early on, most notably signing safety Kevin Byard and running back D’Andre Swift to multiyear contracts. Since then, most of their acquisitions have focused on bolstering their depth on offense, defense, and special teams as they look to build on their 7-10 record from the year prior.

Not every signing is going to turn heads, but each one matters in the grand scheme of building a team. Here are our initial grades for every free agent signing the Bears have made.
