It’s about to be the best or worst weekend of the entire year.

We’re less than one week away from facing the Kansas City Chiefs for the second time this year, 13th time since Patrick Mahomes took over as starting quarterback.

This already sank in with Broncos Country a long time ago, so I want it to sink in with the team: we have never beaten Patrick Mahomes. Ever. Our legacy against the Chiefs is not as a division rival; it’s as a punching bag.

We are the only entity in the AFC West that has (so far) been incapable of winning against #15. Do we usually play well against KC? Yeah, we tend to put up a fight. But it’s not good enough. It will never be good enough until we take home the win.

And to be honest, we’re walking on a tightrope with this one. Let me explain.

If the Chiefs win this game, Mahomes will be the first quarterback ever to start his career 13-0 against a team. Now I have nothing but respect for Mahomes, as he’s an undeniable talent and leader; but Denver CANNOT let this happen.

We’ve suffered one historically unacceptable loss this year and we certainly don’t need another of this magnitude.

I am pleading to Sean Payton, Vance Joseph, Russell Wilson, and every member wearing those orange and blue and white jerseys — please, PLEASE let this be the streak-breaking win.

Rant over. Denver Broncos, let’s ride
(please).
