So, you want to bet on a Texans game? Well, this is one of them.

Well, they made it. The Houston Texans are back in the playoffs as AFC South champions for the first time since 2019. After three years spent in the wilderness, the wildernessiest of wildernesses, the Texans are back in their rightful place with a home playoff game to boot.

And, oh, what is this on the schedule? A rematch at home against the Cleveland Browns and the same idiot ref who called all 712 penalties against Houston is calling that game too? Oh, goody!

This all leads to one thing that we will all crave on Saturday: revenge.

It’s time for the Texans to show the world what they can do. And you can do that by betting heavily on them (if you have the financial wherewithal) with these opening odds from DraftKings Sportsbook.

It’s a pretty solid line for the Texans to fight against, but that’ll just make winning all the better.

Opening Odds for Wild Card Game

Points

FAVORED: Cleveland Browns (-3)

UNDERDOG: Houston Texans (+3)

Note: For those of you who aren’t aware of the meaning, the points are a handicap system. So in this case, imagine the game and before the kickoff even happens, someone has spotted the Texans three points.

So basically a point line, in this case, is giving the Texans a 3-0 head start. And the Browns have to win by at least four points to beat the spread. If the Texans win the game or lose by less than three points, the Texans win the bet. If the Browns win by three points, the bet would be considered a push (or a tie).

Over/Under: 44

Note: This one is pretty straightforward. You decide whether you think the total combined score will be more or less than 47 points.

Moneyline:

Cleveland Browns (-155)
Houston Texans (+130)

Note: This one is a little more complicated. If you bet on the Browns ML, you would need to bet $155 to win $255 on a Browns ML bet (the original $155 wager and $100 for the win) and you’d have to bet $100 to win $230 on a Texans ML bet (the original $100 bet and $130 for the win).

Go Texans.
