The Houston Texans added a premier receiver and another pick to their 2024 draft class with one swoop move Wednesday afternoon.

Along with acquiring Stefon Diggs from the Buffalo Bills, the Texans also picked up a sixth-round pick, bringing their selection total to nine come draft night. Of the nine picks, only three technically belong to Houston following trades over the previous two drafts.

General manager Nick Caserio has been aggressive over his tenure making moves to acquire players he covets. In 2021, he traded three picks to move back into the third round and select Nico Collins. A year later, he moved up twice to bring in John Metchie in Round 2 and Christian Harris in Round 3.

Last April, Caserio shocked the NFL world by trading up nine spots with the Arizona Cardinals to select Defensive Rookie of the Year Will Anderson Jr. in exchange for four early selections, including two first-round picks and a future third. At the time, it was considered careless. In retrospect, the move was a key factor in helping Houston secure its first division title in four years.

It would be foolish to think these nine picks will remain the same following draft weekend given Caserio’s track record. Last year, the Texans set a franchise record with eight draft-day trades.

For now, here’s an updated list of all the Texans’ 2024 picks and how they got them:
