The Indianapolis Colts activated left guard Quenton Nelson from the reserve/COVID-19 list and placed offensive tackle Sam Tevi on the injured reserve list.

This was to be expected after head coach Frank Reich told the media that Nelson would be activated. Since he was a close contact and not an actual positive test for COVID-19, he was able to return quicker than left tackle Eric Fisher, who did test positive and was placed on the list at the same time as Nelson.

With Nelson back on the active roster, he will be looking to work his way back from foot surgery that kept him off the field for three weeks during training camp and the preseason.

Tevi tore his ACL and MCL during the preseason finale against the Detroit Lions. His season is over and that is confirmed by the fact that he was placed on the injured reserve list before the final cuts are made.
