Mack, Hicks, and Robinson are listed as questionable for Chicago.

Very little has changed on the injury report this week for the Green Bay Packers, which can be seen as either a good or bad sign, depending on what you were hoping to get out of this week. The only major difference between the Thursday and Friday practice reports for the Packers is that Malik Taylor (illness) was a non-participant in Friday’s practice, leading him to be labeled as questionable going into Week 6’s matchup with the Chicago Bears.

Taylor is by far the most played special-teamer among Packers receivers. If he misses this week, receiver Equanimeous St. Brown, a fresh signing to Green Bay’s 53-man roster, could be due for more playing time this week.

Two starters, offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins (ankle) and cornerback Kevin King (shoulder), were the big injury question marks coming into the week. Jenkins, who played through an ankle injury in Week 2 and has missed every game since, has been a limited participant in practice all week and will be a game-time decision to play against the Bears. Jenkins previously started at left tackle, but with the emergence of Yoshua Nijman at left tackle in Jenkins’ absence, head coach Matt LaFleur has stated that the offense “worked a lot of different combinations” on the offensive line, refusing to tip his hand on what the starting lineup will look like when Jenkins, who is primarily viewed as a long-term guard, is healthy.

LaFleur also officially ruled out King during his presser today. This should lead to Isaac Yiadom earning his first start at cornerback in green and gold, though LaFleur also noted that Rasul Douglas, who was signed off of Arizona’s practice squad last week, will be activated for his first game as a Packer.

Dennis Kelly (back), the Packers’ reserve right tackle, is listed as doubtful after not participating in practice this week following his absence in Week 5 with an illness. Last week, Ben Braden, who has played tackle and guard, was activated from the practice squad for gameday. There’s a good chance Braden is once again brought up from the practice squad this week, especially if Jenkins can’t go on Sunday.

Chicago, meanwhile, is dealing with major injury questions on both sides of the ball. Offensively, Pro Bowl receiver Allen Robinson (ankle) was only a limited participant on Friday after being held out of early-week practices. This comes off of the heels of the Bears being out their top three running backs: David Montgomery (injured reserve, knee), Tarik Cohen (physically unable to perform, knee), Damien Williams (reserve/COVID-19.) Rookie Khalil Herbert is likely to make his first start in the Bears’ backfield, but the only other rosterd running back on the team is Ryan Nall (ankle), who is listed as questionable despite being a full participant in practice this week.

Defensively, Chicago’s two most important defenders, pass-rusher Khalil Mack (foot) and defensive lineman Akiem Hicks (groin), are also listed as questionable. Mack has been playing through a foot injury for weeks but has not participated in practice since last week’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Hicks was only a limited participant on Friday’s practice after missing every snap since the opening drive in Week 4.
