The Seattle Seahawks opened the 2021 season on the road against the Indianapolis Colts, jumping out to a double digit lead on the arm of Russell Wilson in the first half. Three touchdown passes, including a pair of scoring receptions by Tyler Lockett helped the Hawks to a 21-10 lead at the half.

However, a couple of injuries to backups at running back and wide receiver could alter the team’s allocation of snaps over the remainder of the game. As noted earlier here at Field Gulls, running back Rashaad Penny is questionable to return with a calf injury, and now a Seattle wide receiver has been ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Penny Hart, of course, is a player who has been waived by the Hawks out of camp in each of the past two years, only to then be promoted from the practice squad to the active roster in advance of Week 1. Primarily a special teams player, it will be interesting to see who takes over Hart’s snaps for the remainder of the matchup against the Colts following Hart being ruled out with a concussion.
