Jaguars long snapper Ross Matiscik has earned his first career All-Pro nod.

Jacksonville Jaguars long snapper Ross Matiscik has been recognized by the Associated Press as a first-team All-Pro for the 2023-24 NFL season.

The fourth-year pro also received first-team All-Pro honors from the NFL Player’s Association earlier this week, plus a Pro Bowl nod along with Jaguars outside linebacker Josh Allen.

Matiscik, who was signed by Jacksonville as an undrafted free agent in 2020, is the team’s eighth-ever first-team All-Pro selection* and the first since 2017.

Jaguars first-team All-Pro players*

  • OT Tony Boselli (1997-1999)
  • P Bryan Barker (1997)
  • OLB Kevin Hardy (1999)
  • CB Rashean Mathis (2006)
  • RB Maurice Jones-Drew (2011)
  • DE Calais Cambell (2017)
  • CB Jalen Ramsey (2017)
  • LS Ross Matiscik (2023)

*as chosen by the Associated Press

Matiscik’s eight special teams tackles this season were a league-high for his position. Doug Pederson detailed his contributions to the team last week after Pro Bowl rosters were announced.

“For Ross specifically, just the accuracy on his snaps, his willingness and desire, running down the field, he caused a fumble last time. His tackling and things of that nature, it stands out when other teams are watching and looking, other players are looking. He stands out, so it’s a credit to him and his effort.”

Jaguars fans, were any other players from the 2023 team snubbed as an All-Pro?
