When the Jacksonville Jaguars used the franchise tag on pass rusher Josh Allen, the likelihood that wide receiver Calvin Ridley would leave the team in free agency shot through the roof.
Regardless if Ridley leaves, the need for more talent at the receiver position jumped to the forefront late in the 2023 season. With Christian Kirk out of action with an abdominal injury and Zay Jones hobbled most of the year with a knee issue, a Jaguars offense that rarely looked in sync was even more out of sorts.
The 2024 NFL draft looks loaded with receivers who could help the Jaguars address that issue. One of them is South Carolina’s Xavier Legette:
