Jaguars ‘routinely visited’ with Quincy OT BJ Wilson

The Jacksonville Jaguars are looking high and low for prospects before the 2023 NFL Draft, and that pursuit has included multiple stops at Quincy University in Illinois.

In an interview with Justin Melo of The Draft Network, Quincy offensive tackle BJ Wilson said that a “Jaguars scout routinely visited” the school to see him.

While the Division II program is far from an NFL talent factory, it’s not hard to understand why Wilson has drawn interest. At 6’6, 337 pounds, the massive lineman has prototypical size with 37-inch arms. In August, the former tight end made Bruce Feldman’s list of college football freaks.

Unfortunately for Wilson, his collegiate career ended with an Achilles injury late in the 2022 season. It also kept him from participating in the East-West Shrine Game, despite receiving an invite. However, Wilson told Melo that he’s already sprinting and doing box jumps, and he expects to be cleared fully in about a month.

Wilson is a fringe prospect who may land in the late rounds of the 2023 NFL Draft, but has been projected by most to go undrafted.
