The Jacksonville Jaguars are currently in the process of what’s been a puzzling coaching search, and have been pretty quiet since it was announced they had interest in former Minnesota executive Rick Spielman. However, the personnel department did make one move and signed defensive tackle Raequan Williams to a Reserve/Future contract.

Williams, who is 6-foot-4 and 303 pounds, is entering his third season in the NFL after originally being signed by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2020. He’s played in seven games for them since then over the last two seasons and has accumulated seven tackles and a sack.

In college, Williams played for the Michigan State Spartans and garnered First-Team All Big 12 honors in 2018-19. Williams ultimately accumulated 160 tackles (29 were for loss) and 11.5 sacks at the end of his career. He will look to catch on with a Jags team that could especially use some help behind its starters as players like Taven Bryan and Adam Gotsis are pending free agents.
