Our complete coverage of Jaguars vs. Bengals in Week 13 of the 2023 NFL season.

Welcome to Week 13!

The Jacksonville Jaguars (8-3) will take on the Cincinnati Bengals (5-6) at 8:15 p.m. ET on Monday, Dec. 4 at EverBank Stadium. The Jags opened as 7.5-point favorites, according to our friends at DraftKings Sportsbook, and the total is set at 39 points.

This week’s biggest storyline is the re-emergence of Trevor Lawrence.

16 played the best game of his three-year career on Sunday in terms of passing Expected Points Added and yards per attempt. Lawrence’s performance the week prior against Tennessee was his third-best game by passing EPA and his eighth-best game by YPA.

The young man is heating up.

“The whole offensive line did a great job keeping Trevor clean and upright,” Doug Pederson said after the Houston win. “And to have the type of day that Trevor did today — you know, he just seems to get better each week, and we’ll take a look at this film and make the corrections and continue to improve.”

Lawrence and the Jaguars offense will have to prove the past two outcomes weren’t just a result of poor opposition. They’ll face Lou Anarumo’s Bengals, Jim Schwartz’s Browns, and Mike Macdonald’s Ravens over the next three weeks. If Lawrence can get past that AFC North gauntlet unscathed, we might just have an MVP candidate on our hands.
