Jamal Adams’ status as the NFL’s highest paid safety is now official.

The Seattle Seahawks confirmed that Adams has agreed to a four-year extension, which was reported to be at least $70 million with a maximum value of $72 million. This little storyline is over and the man whom Seattle traded two first-round picks for has got his big money contract.

Now the other part of Adams’ offseason is the fact that independent of his contract situation, he was also on the mend from multiple surgeries, including one to repair a torn labrum suffered at the end of the 2020 regular season. Well guess what? He’s practicing.

But Adams isn’t the only notable Seahawk at practice after an extended absence. Rookie D’Wayne Eskridge is going through drills at VMAC after dealing with a toe injury. It’s expected that he’ll be off of PUP this week with a chance to play in the team’s final two preseason games.

Oh yeah, and Rashaad Penny too!

A pretty good Tuesday for Seahawks news, if you ask me.
