The rivalry may not be headed to the postseason for the third straight year, but there is still no love lost between Ja’Marr Chase and the Chiefs.
The Cincinnati Bengals will be at home watching the playoffs with everyone else for the first time since the 2020 season.
Over the past three years, Cincinnati has grown into one of the top championship-caliber teams in the AFC, with this young offense flourishing behind Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins.
During that same span, the Bengals have developed a pretty big rivalry with the Kansas City Chiefs who have also been one of the top AFC teams behind Patrick Mahomes.
We have seen plenty of shots by both sides at each other, but at the end of the day, it is a great rivalry because both teams are always playing for such high stakes.
That doesn’t mean Bengals players have to be happy about the Chiefs getting an opportunity in the postseason while they were stuck at home, and that was clear by Chase’s response to who he thinks/hopes will go to the Super Bowl from the AFC.
“Anybody but the Chiefs.”
Ja’Marr Chase kept the rivalry alive when asked on SportsCenter who’s going to the Super Bowl.
Tee Higgins also weighed in. #Bengals @fox19 @Real10jayy__ @teehiggins5 pic.twitter.com/OG9jYnDzJs

“Anyone but the Chiefs,” Chase says.
With an AFC playoff filled with the rest of the AFC North, it is a little surprising to hear Chase take this stance. However, given all the talk between him and the Kansas City defense, it makes sense.
For what it is worth, Higgins went with the Baltimore Ravens, and both wanted to see the Dallas Cowboys or San Francisco 49ers.
I think it is safe to say most Bengals fans will be cheering for an NFC winner in the Super Bowl this year.
