Should the Eagles trade for James Washington?

He flashed in his sophomore campaign in 2019, hauling in 44 passes for 735 yards and three touchdowns. He fell out of favor in 2020, especially with the addition of standout rookie Chase Claypool. Washington finished with 30 catches for 395 yards (but had five touchdowns) last season.</p> <p id="EaAhzl">The Eagles, who have been looking for answers at wide receiver for seemingly my entire life, should have interest in Washington. He’s good at tracking deep balls and should be able to line up inside or out wide. </p> <p id="cX1eil">I can’t imagine it would take much for the Eagles to acquire Washington, but the Birds should take a flyer on any receiver who’s displayed an ounce of talent. Their offense desperately needs that as Smith’s health remains up in the air and the team’s other young receivers have been unable to truly stand out in training camp. How about a sixth or seventh rounder for Washington? Maybe even a disappointing second-round receiver for disappointing second-round receiver swap with J.J. Arcega-Whiteside?</p> <p id="4lk0Sb">Howie Roseman is consistently the most aggressive executive in the league when it comes to trades, even more so during training camp. Roseman should, at minimum, give Pittsburgh a call and kick the tires. </p> <div id="nowvSE"><div data-anthem-component="poll:10689328"></div></div></div>
