Offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor joins Dolphins after two seasons with Patriots

Former New England Patriots offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor will remain in the AFC East.
On Monday, the Miami Dolphins announced the signing of the 26-year-old Eluemunor, who became an unrestricted free agent in March after spending the past two seasons with New England.
Eluemunor, who entered the league at No. 159 overall in the 2017 NFL draft, had been acquired from the Baltimore Ravens in August 2019. The trade saw fourth-round and sixth-round selections exchanged. Eluemunor would go on to appear in 22 games, including eight starts, for the Patriots between both tackle spots and at guard.
New England tendered the product of Lackawanna College and Texas A&M at the $2.133 million restricted level last offseason. Eluemunor proceeded to play 41 percent of the offensive snaps in 2020, spending time on injured reserve after suffering an ankle injury against the Denver Broncos in October.
The 6-foot-4, 335-pound Eluemunor finished the campaign having allowed 11 combined quarterback pressures, per Pro Football Focus.
Head coach Brian Flores’ Dolphins roster now stands with 11 past Patriots. That list includes quarterback Jacoby Brissett, center Tyler Gauthier, defensive tackle Adam Butler, defensive end Nick Coe, linebackers Elandon Roberts and Calvin Munson, plus defensive backs Eric Rowe, Jamal Perry, Justin Coleman and Jason McCourty.
Miami revisits New England at Gillette Stadium for a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff on Sept. 12.
