Joe Douglas added a familiar face to the Jets’ roster Thursday, claiming OL Nate Herbig off waivers from the Eagles, per multiple reports.

Douglas was Philadelphia’s vice president of player personnel when Herbig, a Stanford product, joined the Eagles after the 2019 draft. Douglas became New York’s general manager shortly after that.

Herbig gives the Jets some extra guard depth, and he comes with starting experience. He has played in 33 NFL games with 17 starts. Herbig started fives games in 2021.

He finished the season with a 68.1 Pro Football Focus grade, allowing one sack while committing three penalties over 481 snaps.
