Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has the makings of a breakout star in 2021.

That would also make him a breakout star in fantasy football, too.

That’s something on the radar of Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport, who was asked to outline just 10 leaguewide players who could break out in the fantasy football space next season.

Burrow was one of those:

“Over his 10 games, Burrow passed for 2,688 yards with 13 touchdowns and five interceptions—numbers that landed him 18th in fantasy points per game at the position in NFL.com default scoring.”

Now, factor in some important details: He’ll be better next year after actually  having the benefit of a preseason and normal training camp, he’s naturally following a likely upward developmental trajectory, his offensive line is better and his cast of weapons is both getting healthy and added Ja’Marr Chase.

So yes, Burrow should be one of those second-year passers who has a dramatic leap in a number of areas, including fantasy football. His landing as a top-10 scorer at the position wouldn’t come as much of a shock if things unfold as planned.
